In 1908 Willie J Charlesworth rented a small factory at 88 Aston St, Birmingham. Where he began making metal parts for the new wireless industry. He first started moulding in 1924, making plugs & sockets for wireless sets using material from The Damard Lacquer Co. (later to become Bakelite)

Charlesworth Mouldings was registered in 1934 and Charlesworth & Son Ltd is still run by his family today.
